Interim Visual Identity
The European Social Innovation Competition, launched in memory of Diogo Vasconcelos, is a Competition run by the European Commission across all European countries, now in its seventh year.
Every year the competition has another topic and sets a new challange for participants. Each year the competition has a new visual indetity reflecting the topic. The advertise the competition whole year long, an interim visual identity was needed that presents the competition in a more genaral manner.
The result is a versatile identity based on colourful illustrations that present poeple building a more social and innovative society. The design elements can be applied to various media, some examples are shown below.

The 2019 Competition is titled Challenging Plastic Waste and seeks the most innovative projects, products, services, business models and collaborations that tackle plastic waste.
The 2019 visiual identity, realised by a communication agency, is strongly inspired by the interim visual identity and uses a lot of its design elements.
